a whimsical, and mischievous bandit, fringe wasn’t always so. growing up as a stable hand at a local baron’s manor, she lost her vision when the barons son whipped his horse for refusing to jump. in pain and panic the horse kicked, scoring fringe a blow to the head. unable to see she was turned out into the countryside to fend for herself. a fairy in the woodland took pity on her, and while it couldn’t return her sight, it gave fringe powerful hearing. it took her years but she learned to fight by listening for the sounds of things around her. stealing from whoever sounded richest passing through the woods. later on a wizard who was passing through offered to restore her sight in return for retrieving a charm. once she had it restored, she discovered she needed to be blindfolded again so that she could fight
