Did a little bit more with this one! Still unsure on her hair color.

#12 Casey of the Skyfoxes

| November 13, 2011 | 0 Comments

#12 Casey of the Skyfoxes (science fiction/anthropomorphic cartoon character) In the far future, Casey is a member of team #17 of the Skyfoxes, a space ranger squad of the IDF (Interplanetary Defense Force). Casey’s personality leans towards the use of gadgets, computers, and scientific formulas. In other words, Casey is the team’s “tech girl”. Though, if she has any shortcomings, it is that she overthinks some problems and works longer than any of the over members of her team (read: socially challenged).

Casey belongs to my “Kitty and the Skyfoxes” series of characters. I tried to give each of the characters distinct personalities, complete with shortcomings. The shortcoming might be easier than you think; as a person’s strenghts and weaknesses usually come from the same personality traits. The above example with Casey is a good one. Also, the lead of the series, Kitty, brings youthful enthusiasm and energy to her team; while at the same time, falls on her face and bouches missions because she trying so hard. Then there’s Roxy (who I haven’t posted yet), the adventurous amazon with the sexy outlook on things. Her shortcoming is that her powerful, hard driving personality also makes her a bossy woman (which isn’t alway appreciated by her team mates). And so on. Enjoy.

#13 Luci Ferrell

| November 13, 2011 | 0 Comments

Luci Ferrell is beautiful, seductive, capable of making men–and women–stop in their tracks….

…. And she’s also the Devil.  No, really.

The Devil, you see, is really a woman, or rather is a female persona.  Luci is just one of her avatars (the Devil is a sentient power that is beyond the puny mental abilities of humans to understand and “lives” in several planes of existence…yep, it sounds bizarre, but hey, what are you going to do?).  This one is always tracking Neil Brunner as he carries out his duties as a catcher of rouge souls, always trying to seduce him no matter how many times Neil refuses her.  She also deals with the head of the Sigma Agency, the organization that deals with issues between heaven and hell.

#13 – Owen MacMaster

| November 13, 2011 | 0 Comments

Owen, codenamed as yet undetermined! The youngest on Mercy’s team, he’s always been quiet, sensitive and less impulsive than his teammates. He had a silent crush on Mercy when she went by Magpie, and spoke (softly) against her rejoining them in her depowered state. This is less because he doesn’t believe in her and more because he fears for her safety, but it was the cause of a rift between the two that sparked a deep stint of depression for Owen. He’s an art student that frequently dyes his hair ridiculous colors. Also, borderline hipster.

#8 Namesake

| November 13, 2011 | 0 Comments

Namesake : status : middle school student  (unknown by large majority of neovidual hero community )

With the neovidual ability to read the “aura of historical relevance” that all objects and living beings emit , Christopher Robert Williams aka Namesake can see the history of anything or anyone he touches. He can also read books simply by touch as well as other fantastic abilities related to his core power. The nickname “Namesake” was given to him by family and close friends.

As one could imagine this would be an extremely useful power in the neovidual hero community. However, Christopher’s parents Nathaniel and Roberta Williams have under no uncertain terms expressed that Christopher will take no large part in hero adventuring and crime fighting. Christopher’s parents wish to protect him from the harm and trauma that could result from such activities. Out of a respect for Moonwill and the good he has done, Roberta and Nathaniel sparingly and reluctantly allow Moonwill to seek help from Christopher.

Moonwill has called upon Christopher’s help once in order to save the world. Out of a deep respect for Christopher’s safety and the wishes of his parents, Moonwill vows never to do so again.

#12 Aaron Falkirk

| November 13, 2011 | 0 Comments

Aaron Falkirk was one of the greatest thieves in the Realm.  There was no secured object that was beyond his ability to whisk away–small artifacts up to a 150-foot sand cruiser.  Whether solo or with a team, Aaron proved to be a slippery one for law enforcement.

Until the day that he had a change of heart.

A young girl asked Aaron to steal a precious family heirloom from a corrupt government official.  Digging deeper, Aaron discovered that the official had stolen many things from the poor or unfortunate.  Aaron then decided to change sides and steal from the powerful and corrupt and give the items back to their respectful owners.  A recent job returned a precious relic to the grateful people of the town of Baranore.

Seven years ago, Aaron met two women who would lead him on a new path in his life: Dawn Shryer and Chessie Ilvanis.  The three would form a team that would take on any troubleshooting assignment.  Although Aaron fell in love with Chessie at first sight, Chessie pretty much loathed him.  The two bickered constantly, but still worked well together (partially due to Dawn being a “bridge” between the two).

During an investigation of the ruins of an ancient city of the “First People”, the team forged a working relationship with Gillian Rohcha and Elgren Fenris of the Investigator’s Guild.  Aaron ended up saving Chessie’s life, and the two were separated from the others.  Both admitted that they really did care about each other more than they admitted, and realized that, yep, they were in love.

Aaron has no special powers, but he has an analytical mind and a set of tools that allows him to pick any lock.  He’s also a superb fighter, although he tends to try and diffuse the situation first by talking things out.

#12 – An Unpronouncable Name

| November 13, 2011 | 0 Comments

It’s not really his name. He just doesn’t have one that can be said in our language.

Most people refer to him as the leader of the faction of Wall and Garden – named so for the fact that it’s primary goals are to wall off the demon world from human invaders and cultivate what’s left of the demons’ cultural garden.

The leader, who for now we’ll just call Elephant Face (he refuses to accept or be called a name that humans can properly pronounce), has been campaigning to find ways to seal off his world from ours for centuries, even long before the disastrous vampire wars ravaged the realm. He’s worked endlessly to try to push human influence out of the world, and is openly critical of the ruling Caviers, the half-human bloodline that’s been trying to maintain order while trying to keep the balance between their world and ours. He believes humans have strictly no business in the affairs of demons, and should stay in their own world where they belong.

Despite his strong views, he doesn’t hate humans. In fact, he’s quite indifferent to humans as a whole, and he’s certainly met a fair few that he respects. Wall and Garden, despite their extremism, are a strictly pacifistic faction, and Elephant Face himself is perfectly fine with working alongside humans if it’s convenient to him. Usually, these kinds of affairs that he accepts human assistance with are disputes or violent feuds between humans and groups of demons. Elephant Face is a wise and patient creature – while he refuses to stop until humans have been banished from the realm permanently, he’s willing to accept any sort of compromise along the way. Some progress is better than no progress, though other members of Wall and Garden thinks this policy makes him look too soft on the issue. He doesn’t want the human race exterminated (like several other demon factions desire), he just wants them out.

(Ack, this one’s a bit late, mainly because I decided to do a colored pencil scan. Today’s will be on time, hopefully.)

G. Brett Williams #13 – Atticus Spade, the Ace of Spades

| November 13, 2011 | 0 Comments

Atticus Spade – A member of the all-black 369th Infantry, the group known by the nicknames “Harlem’s Hellfighters” and “Black Rattlers,” Henry “Hank” Needham was the first African American to earn the French Croix de Guerre. During a battle in WWI, Needham and his fellow infrantryman William Roberts were attacked by a German raiding party. Roberts was injured in the battle and was being dragged off by German soldiers when Needham, out of ammo, attacked his friend’s captors and beat them savagely with the butt of his rifle. The Germans were cowed by Needham’s savagery and abandoned their plans. The two men had driven off an entire German raiding party. Needham came home to a country still divided on the issue of race. Weary of war and death, he did everything he could to distance himself from the military and his legacy, not that many people cared much for his legacy anyway. He bounced around the country, always finding odd jobs where he could and supplementing his income with a little gambling here and there. Eventually he ended up out West where he found work on the Boulder (eventually Hoover) Dam project. The project’s proximity to Las Vegas, which legalized gambling in 1931, made it the perfect place for Needham to find some extra cash. At that point in his life he was a very accomplished con man and card sharp and he put those skills to good use in the fertile ground of a young Sin City. He was enjoying life on the grift, as much as anyone can, when the government came calling. While Needham had abandoned the US military as soon as his service was up, his friend Will Roberts had continued to serve. Roberts had been trained as a spy and sent to Africa in an attempt to gather intelligence on strange occurrences on the African continent that led back to the rising socialist movement in Germany. Roberts lost contact and was presumed compromised. Rather than risk losing those secrets to a mounting German threat, the Americans went after the one man they thought best capable of finding and rescuing (or eliminating) his former partner. This is how Hank Needham became Atticus Spade, the Ace of Spades. It is the retrieval of Roberts that serves as the first team mission for the Aces.

#10 Sanu

| November 13, 2011 | 2 Comments

Born on the big island of Hawaii, Sanu simply thought he was getting tribal tats put on his body – adding a belly design and paying tribute to his gang, when something went horribly wrong. as the last dot of ink was added to his belly design, more tattoos grew up his neck and over his face and head, and finally over his back. Something took him over. Something otherworldly, and now he is inhabitted by a spirit of unimaginable power. Sanu was placed on the team after leveling a small village on Molokai, killing everyone. He is used by the team primarily as a “nuke” – being brought into impossible situations where there is no other hope.

#12-Ed Vaughn

| November 13, 2011 | 0 Comments

Eddie is the lead of Mayor Ron Priest’s elite force, tracking down any he’s told to. While he has his own judgement, he believes fully in Priest. He lost a hand and a leg during his beat with the Verde City beat cops and volunteered for the enhancements created by he Elite Force armor. Though he isn’t able to remove it due to his limbs healing over the connection to the armor, which partially lead to his leadership of the force. With no other life to go back to, he leads over all the unit, no longer requiring sleep or food.

Yeah, switching to a more cartoon style, just so I can play with shapes more. I don’t know, I do better with cartooning I think. Caught up, today’s will be up later.

Red Squirrel

As early as he could walk, Ty Carlson was learning to climb and leap and pounce. Trained by his enigmatic uncle, the vigilante known as the Weasel, Ty took on the persona of the Red Squirrel. His obsessive uncle taught Ty to prowl through the night tracking and thwarting criminals. The young boy brings an energy and optimism to the war on crime, but maybe he should hang up the mask at least until his 6th birthday.

When Smoke defected from the Elite, he gained a loyal follower in Pinch. Pinch, also a former Animal Elite agent, is quite a scary individual. On top of her superb hand to hand combat skills, Pinch has the unique ability is use her quills like throwing knifes and she throws them with deadly accuracy. Her blind love and devotion to Smoke means she is not exactly of sound mind.

#12 Error

| November 13, 2011 | 0 Comments

Technopaths, can’t live with them, definitely can live without them. Error has no name, no history, for all purposes he does not even exist. He is a terrorist, believing that technology should only be in the hands of those who know how to use it, aka him. Error, can cripple economies, and destroy military systems with a thought, but what makes him truly dangerous is his unrelenting will to kill, wither by hand, knife, or gun, he loves it.

Rael

There have been tales about brothers at odds throughout history.. Cain and Abel. Mycroft and Sherlock. And now, Cife and Rael.

Rael is the younger, taller, more-attractive brother, but age is a number, taller people have to duck everywhere they go, and looks aren’t everything, as Cife will tell you. Rael is a hunter. He is proficient with projectile weapons as well as his own psionic attacks. He’s a little aloof, but keeps a steady head in the face of danger.

He’s not as powerful as his brother, but he’s no slouch in timebending abilities. Rael is a puzzle-solver, able to decipher mysteries and riddles, often with ease. The only puzzles he hasn’t been able to figure out are why the High is targeting his brother and why they chose Rael to kill him.

Regardless, he’s traveling with his brother across time, space, and dimensions keeping his brother in line and, much to his displeasure, kill Cife with ease.

But it’s a journey Rael wouldn’t miss in a minute.
