I found this site through a post in the NaNoWriMo group on FaceBook, and thought it sounded like fun, and an added challenge to writing 50,000 words in 30 days while working full time and launching a brand new region.

So, yeah.

I'm 51, Pagan, and a jailhouse nurse. Besides writing (and creating characters -- my plots are very character driven, usually) my hobbies are counted cross stitch and avoiding housework. (I'm really really good at that last one!)

1/1/12 Philippa Steed — shapeshifting superhero

| November 1, 2012 | 0 Comments

Human form:  Philippa is a tall and powerfully built woman with warm soft gentle brown eyes and long flowing chestnut hair.  She moves with a calm easy assurance and gives little doubt that she can take care of herself.

Animal form: A chestnut mare with a single star as a marking.

Philippa loves humanity, or, rather, she is fascinated by people.

As a human, she works out of the basement of the whorehouse as a Dominatrix, and takes classes to become a licensed social worker and psychotherapist.

As a horse, she has befriended an outcast teenage girl and the two of them have formed a partnership that gives the girl confidence and something to look forward to and be proud of, and has given both of them a sense of belonging that has been missing in their lives.

Looking forward to the challenge!

I just found out about this through the NaNoWriMo group on FaceBook, and thought, “why not?”  Just because I work full time and am committed to writing 50,000 words in 30 days while starting a brand new region…  Besides, I have this story idea in mind for a future NaNo (or Camp) and it needs characters…  Sadly, I can’t draw at all, so my “sketches” will all be words… So, what’s another few thousand words?  The hardest part will be names…
