One day at the Mexican farmer’s market I bought a packet of what I thought was hot cocoa…Caca Caliente Del Diablo. I thought it was the Devil’s Hot Cocoa. When I got home and made the hot chocolate, the kitchen started to smell like eggs and charcoal. When I tried to drink the hot cocoa, the devil popped out and left a “present” in my cup.  My bad translating skills led me to purchase “The Devil’s Hot Shit” in a package.

Bellhop Bernie is a character based on a true story.  My wife and I were sitting in a coffee shop one day talking and this strange old man sat down at our table. Bernie had *allegedly been a bellhop at a hotel in Philadelphia for over 75 years until he retired and moved to the shore in “twenty oh five”. During his time as a bellhop he had met Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Mickey Mantle, and countless other celebrities from the past century.  We spent the next hour at our table listening to his wild stories until he informed us that he soiled himself and needed to leave.
