Although he has lost the strength-endowing locks of his youth, the Professor has found that with age (and beard) comes vast wisdom. And with vast wisdom comes almost perpetual surprise at the foibles of humanity.

#16: The Man, The Beard

| November 16, 2011 | 0 Comments

Text reads:

“Norman’s a man who came from the north.

He lived in a land from which snow issued forth.

Among driving ice and cold winds he was reared,

and even when young, he’d a marvelous beard!

This gnarled mane of hair would protect from the cold

As a baby, a child, a young man, and when old.

He once had a wife but she left him. Instead,

she found a new man with more hair on his head!”

#1 – The Bearded Menace

The Bearded MenaceFigured I’d get this guy out of the way.  The Bearded Menace spawned from the name of my portfolio site (http://www.beardedmenace.com), and when I first dreamed him up, he was to be more or less the mascot for the whole operation.  I eventually went a different route, and little Menace here took a seat on the back burner for a while.  But, here he is now, in a finalized state!  I’m still debating his main color, I guess, but brown will do fine for now.

As a creature, The Bearded Menace is a grumpy, quiet type.  His past times include loafing about and gnawing on things.  He prefers sweets, but will chew on anything he deems to look tasty, or that offends him to look at.  That is to say he’s not too picky.  A short, stocky thing, he relies on his magnificent facial locks to woo those around him.  He can usually be found wandering his natural habitat of dense forest or traversing rocky mountains.
