Jesse Kiefer – 30 Characters in 30 Days

| November 30, 2012 | 0 Comments

It was fun folks! My goals for the project were much looser this year. A few of these characters will get some use soon, some I already started using before the month was even over. (Pofigs from Day 9 and Leobertin from Day 2 were both featured in this video from the 19th and I can’t wait to use Tony G. Block from “day 20” soon) I had to ditch the color towards the end but still got some fun stuff done.

#24 Clem: The Human Turned Alien Via Evolution

| November 29, 2012 | 0 Comments

Second grade girl explains space aliens:

Girl: “We put people in space and they turned into aliens…”

Me: “How did they turn into aliens?”
Girl: “They couldn’t Breathe”

Me:”But how did they turn into aliens?”
Girl: They couldn’t breathe so they turned into aliens…”

Me: “so you’re saying it was an evolutionary response, so they could survive?”

Girl: “Yes. (befuddled look)”

#23 The Infamous Knife Stealing Sun

| November 29, 2012 | 1 Comment

Boy: I touched the sun once!
Me: Did you need special Laser gloves for that?
Boy: Well YEEEEAH! (Duh Mr. Kiefer)
Boy: I poked a hole in it.
Me: How did you poke a hole in it?
Boy: With a knife.
Me: What happens to it when you put a hole in it
Boy: Oh not really anything.
Me: Do you still have the knife
Boy: No it’s gone. The sun takes it.

#22 Frosty The Necro-Snowmancer

| November 29, 2012 | 0 Comments

There must have been some dark magic in that old silk hat they found… Building a better winter season one undead snowman at a time.

#21 Sly The I.T. Guy

| November 29, 2012 | 0 Comments

A hard working guy for a guy that stares at a multi monitor array mostly waiting for things to go wrong.  He’s mostly hoping that if something goes wrong it’s worth his time… not that so and so on the third floor still doesn’t “get” how to work his e-mail.

#20 Tony G. Block

| November 28, 2012 | 1 Comment

Tony G. Block is a Gelatinous… Block. He has an interesting ability to literally “block” the holographic projection and teleportation abilities of other puppets

#19 Office Manager Charles Castle-face

| November 19, 2012 | 0 Comments

He Has a castle face, he’s sensitive about it.

#18 Metal-squito

| November 19, 2012 | 0 Comments

He’s actually got a pretty good sense of humor for a steam punk insect robot.

#17 Centurion Chicken

| November 19, 2012 | 0 Comments

Yeah.. pretty much how it sounds. He swings the plant… it pukes a rocket. He’s tough.

#16 Frankenstein’s Bear

| November 19, 2012 | 0 Comments

What?… You think he jumped right to creating a Man? Naw… seriously, he had to start somewhere.

#15 Anthro-Zombie-Frog-With Teeth

| November 19, 2012 | 0 Comments

A zombie aint much if it don’t have teeth… this frog? This Frog Zombie? Its gots teeth.

#14 Sand-Cows

| November 19, 2012 | 0 Comments

An army of alien cows… with the ability to make their forms Malleable and shaped into any form.

#13 the M.A.B.D.S.T.T.F.

| November 19, 2012 | 0 Comments

The M.A.B.D.S.T.T.F. was once a turkey of larger than average size towering over all other turkeys never to be slain for it was invariably connected to the Holiday Cheer of Thanksgiving… however as people started to overlook Thanksgiving more and more with stores staying open during thanksgiving and more families being forced to celebrate on different days due to work expectations of employers setting up Black Friday sales on… um… Thursday. (wait… what?) The mythical turkey began to shrink to the size of an average Squirrel…. and because misery loves company the M.A.B.D.S.T.T.F. took to stealing the Squirrels food…. because why should they worry about Christmas BEFORE THANKSGIVING… oh… they store that food for survival? You mean they aren’t hiding those nuts as early Christmas gifts for other squirrels? Oh… well I guess the M.A.B.D.S.T.T.F. is kind of a Jerk then.

#12 The Tar-tle

| November 19, 2012 | 0 Comments

This beast of Tar was once a normal tortoise at least it was until it was challenged to a race by a rabbit…. the foolish rabbit was so far ahead that it decided to take a nap as the slow tortoise was so much slower and so far behind… the tortoise however never stopped and as the rabbit slept…. it took the lead and actually won the foot race…. unfortunately this Rabbit was actually a vindictive god in disguise… he had no humor for losing to a tortoise and transformed it into an immortal beast made of tar… unable to ever beat another animal in another foot race ever again.

#11 The Purple Pilgrim

| November 19, 2012 | 0 Comments

Actually based on this image…

Every year I get a new interpretation on Pilgrims from my younger students… last year it was the evil rich pilgrim… This year? Blue and Purple Pilgrims… I imagine that the Purple Pilgrim being involved in the annual grape stomp making wine for their church… was involved in a horrible accident where he fell into the mash, was stomped, and inevitably, unfortunately, he… “dyed”.

He rose again filled with a terrible rage… a pre-libation RAGE!

#10 Broccula

| November 19, 2012 | 0 Comments

Doubly frightening to children at supper time everywhere… this horrible beast plays on two childhood fears… Vampires and having to eat all of your Broccoli.

#9 Pofigs Gerand

| November 18, 2012 | 0 Comments

Pofigs Gerand: Another from the Hand Puppets Series. Trapped in the Holo-Verse by Frederick’s Holocapture ray (Very confusing?… connected to this story line ) He was something of a Hologram Projection guru for the underclass puppet class of Melnovia he helped educate the lower class to better use their innate abilities much to the chagrin of the King… until he mysteriously disappeared at the hands of Frederick. He has since been in the Holo-verse trying to decipher what technology Frederick has used to block him from returning to the physical realm.

#8 Zebra-Corn

| November 12, 2012 | 0 Comments

When most people hear “Zebra-Corn” they maybe picture a regal unicorn like beast with a single horn and zebra stripes… But it’s actually something far less regal with a horrible reputation for how it “stalks” its prey.

#7 Throat Dragon

| November 12, 2012 | 0 Comments

#6 Squirrel Yeti

| November 7, 2012 | 0 Comments

The elusive beast is considered by most to be a myth but he exists high above looking down on us from his Tree-Top-Cave. Waiting for the zombie apocalypse when he can come back down and exhume the food he buried oh so long ago… man oh man is he hungry.

#5 Velociraptor Jesus

| November 7, 2012 | 0 Comments

When he returns it will like that of a thief in the night (or out of nowhere like a Velociraptor)… clever Messiah.

#4 Flintpower Sky-Mountain

| November 6, 2012 | 0 Comments

Born as Flint Rockmann in the late 70’s he took on his “spirit name” Flintpower Sky-Mountain

#3 Dr. Mitchell K. Lowery

| November 6, 2012 | 0 Comments

Dr. Mitchell K. Lowery is a very Bill Nye type character. He’s very intelligent college professor so when he gets excited he gets to talking fast and most folks don’t actually understand what he’s talking about. Because he looks very much like Colonel Sanders but has Red Hair his unofficial nick name on campus is Dr. Ginger Sanders.

#2 LeoBertin Leopard

| November 3, 2012 | 2 Comments

LeoBertin Leopard (Sometimes Called Libertarian Leopard)

A Leopard concerned with smaller government, especially when it comes to government regulation of food. LeoBertin sometimes takes his beliefs to absolute extremes. Often going without food for days if he can’t find something that isn’t overly regulated… the thing he hates most vehemently is what he calls Government Pizza. Which is very literally Pizza that has been heavily processed and still regulated and passed by the FDA. As a hand puppet he seems small cute and precious… but Leopards are big game cats… and he’s very serious about smaller government.

Eddie J. is practically a cartoon of a conservative red-neck and he is proud of it.
