#11- #30

| November 30, 2011 | 0 Comments

hey guys, I had all these characters all but ready to upload, backstories thought through and everything then my laptop got fried, long story short the world hates me, so here are sketches of all 19 of them (plus one extra because I appear to have miscounted)

#10 ‘Faceless’

| November 10, 2011 | 0 Comments

Faceless is the latest in a long line of heroes called Faceless, he’s still the one with the worst fashion sense though, he wears the original mask of the 1800’s hero called Faceless as well as his own costume. despite his silly appearance Faceless is still the hero taken most seriously in the local area, he’s also SuperDan’s role model, although Faceless occasionally acknowledges SuperDan’s existence it’s doubtful he’ll ever see him as a threat to his position as ‘top hero’… or as an equal in fighting crime, or as a sidekick, or as a friend, or an acquaintance

#9 The Landlord

| November 9, 2011 | 0 Comments

The Landlord had aspirations of being a jungle explorer/guide on the jungle cruise ride at Disney World (no one ever listens long enough to find out) but instead ended up settling down to make a living renting out flats with his wife

She’s the landlady ’nuff said

#7 DanBoy

| November 7, 2011 | 0 Comments

When SuperDan was feeling down, he got out his favourite crayons and created DanBoy! His faithful sidekick who thought he was the greatest superhero ever, in times of great need and stress SuperDan will take out the piece of paper with DanBoy drawn on it (which he keeps on his person at all times) and think to himself  ‘What would he want me to do’. Recently however in light of a great tragedy in SuperDan’s personal life DanBoy sometimes appears to come to life on the page to give SuperDan the aid he needs… he is however not the faithful young ward SuperDan imagined, instead bitter about being poorly drawn he often insults SuperDan into action or is no help at all because of all the crayon whiskey he drinks mid-mission

#6 Spokes-character

| November 6, 2011 | 0 Comments

“there but got the grace of god go I” is the phrase most people who see this guy walk past in Howarth’s place of work utter, one day Howarth won a company raffle and got to choose the spokes-character Fred the friendly zombie was hired.

#5 ‘The Gentleman’

| November 6, 2011 | 0 Comments

‘The Gentleman’ is a local myth, he’s a vicious killer who only targets women, always dressing as a Victorian gentleman in a homage to his favourite killer he stalks the town at night. SuperDan makes it his mission in life to prove he’s a good hero by tracking down the gentleman and bringing him to justice… of course no one takes that seriously in the slightest

#4 Don

| November 4, 2011 | 0 Comments

Don is the barman at the local bar where the guys can often be found on cold nights, weekends and pretty much whenever they have a spare moment and a fiver or so. Don is stupidly nice and is often referred to as ‘gentlemanly’ but Holmes doesn’t particularly like him, because ‘he stole my haircut but kept the sh*tty colour and’s almost stolen Dan’s name’. but the guys are sure that it’s just because Don has a job at a bar and he doesn’t

#3 ‘The Dragon’

| November 3, 2011 | 0 Comments

he goes by many names ‘Hydra’ ‘Loch Ness monster’ sometimes even ‘falcon’ if he’s feeling bored, the Dragon is a force of power that influences everyone’s life at least once,  often giving reference to a great battle between him and a creature called “The Balrog… no not the one out of that book. That would just be silly” the true extent of his influence is as of yet unknown, he’s only ever been known to talk to Holmes and even then he only ever talks to him when everyone else is out, Holmes is usually in his bathroom or bedroom at the time as well

# 2: Minion

| November 2, 2011 | 0 Comments

This is Howarth’s assistant, who he only ever calls ‘Minion’ so that’s all anyone else ever calls him. He hates Howarth with a passion, mostly because of how easy going he is about his work whereas Minion takes everything way too seriously for his own health, which is why he’s rapidly balding. He wants to be evil (come on, look at that goatee) but that can wait, his career comes first, and Howarth needs some files copying.

# 1: ‘The Squirty Creamer’

| November 1, 2011 | 0 Comments

one of the villains faced by ‘SuperDan’, ‘The Squirty Creamer ‘ was once a hero known as ‘The Milkman’ but after all the other local heroes were “really-really-mean-stupid-faces” and refused to take him seriously then he became a villain in the hopes people would be too scared of him to keep saying ‘if you’re using dairy products why are you dressed as a pig’, unfortunately the taunting only got worse, the police laughed so hard they couldn’t arrest him when he tried robbing a dry cleaners using the threat ‘If you’re lactose intolerant, I could make things REALLY uncomfortable for you any second now’ none of his self proclaimed ‘nemeses’ took him seriously until he met ‘SuperDan’ a hero who joined the fight against evil too late to have any real villains to fight

2011 Challenger: Corey Davies

| October 19, 2011 | 2 Comments

hey guys/gals/other,

I’m Corey, I’m 16 and English (I also enjoy long walks on the beach and having fun…sorry, couldn’t help myself), since May I’ve been posting a comic over at my site, the feedback I’ve got has been positive so far, so it looks like it’s going to be sticking around for the foreseeable future. I’ve started moving my comic from a random to a story based comic recently so I reckon this’ll be a good way of getting my creativity going. I’m also fairly new to drawing people (which has been annoying in the comic let me tell you) and my skills have improved massively since I started out but I’m thinking that this will help me work on improving myself further, hope to talk to some of you later
