Ms. Mask is a mysterious person of unknown origin. She has cuts all over her body and always wears a mask (probably to cover scars on her face). The mask is also broken, suggesting she has been in many fights after she put on the mask. No one has actually seen her fight, but everyone is afraid of her. What is her secret? We may never know.
Zoxen is a powerful monster living in the corrupted zone. The corrupted zone isn’t a place you’d want to visit at the best of times, but Zoxen makes a visit equal to suicide. He is said to nest in the center of the zone where the corruption is strongest. Although great treasure and powerful magics are said to exist in the zone, no one has ever be able to verify it.
Astra is a Spirit Fae who comes and goes at her whim. When she shows up, you know something of great importance is going to happen. She rarely speaks and usually just watches events happen and then moves on. It is very rare that she will interfere with events and when she does you better get out of her way. There is only one known case of someone trying to stop her; the site of their battle has never recovered.
Katha is a sweet little kitten who wouldn’t hurt a flea. Humans on the other hard are quite delicious.
King William and Queen Zoa are the rulers of the kingdom. He is a strong ruler with powerful magic. Few would oppose him openly but there are a few who are working in secret to have him removed. He’s not a bad person, it’s just that some of his policies are causing problems for some of the nobles. He knows someone is working against him but so far he hasn’t found out who it is.
Queen Zoa is the mother of Sophia and Rancor. She is a small, fragile-looking woman, mostly due to her Fae blood. She is a powerful magic-user but she rarely uses magic because her queenly and motherly duties don’t leave her much time to herself. She is a loving and caring woman but gets stress headaches.
Prince Rancor is the son of the King of the Land and a spoiled brat as well. His father has tried to train him in the laws of the land but Rancor would rather boss the staff and practice sword fighting. He has no magic ability or aspirations to use magic and so isn’t as dangerous as he could be, but he is still a pain to all who know him.
Tammy is the hostess of the local inn. She acts friendly to the guests but she is sick of all the leering stares. She puts up with the skimpy dresses and fancy make-up because she is paid well for her work. She is actually uncomfortable with all the attention and wishes she could do something more mentally challenging.
Andy is another guard at the castle. He’s small and wiry. Not many people see him as a threat and he is often pushed around and abused. He tries his best to do that’s right, but he just doesn’t have the will-power on most occasions. Someday he’ll stand up for himself, but not today.
Leslie the swashbuckler has had to overcome her poor eye-sight to become a skilled warrior. She was looked down on by the other swashbucklers and pushed herself to be the best she could be. Eventually, even the most skilled amongst them had to admit she was the best fencer they had ever seen. Now she travels around righting wrongs and confronting evil. She uses her handicap to catch people off guard and appear weak where she is strongest. Pity the fool who tries to defeat her by removing her glasses.
Greg is a gate guard for the main town center. He is well respected and feared by law abiding people and criminals for different reasons. Friendly and charming, he gets along with most people. A few people suspect he may be taking bribes, but no one has been able to prove anything.
Mary is small for her age and is often mistaken for a child. She doesn’t like this but sometimes uses this to her advantage. She works as a nanny and enjoys playing with children. Kids love her as well since she is the same size as them.
Hummus the Imp is a mischievous fellow. He is always causing trouble and getting into places he doesn’t belong. He is given missions by his mistress but he can be slow to achieve them due to his constant need to cause mischief.
Melisa is the head waitress from the local tavern. She is friendly and helpful to all her patrons and is really good at her job. However, she can get very stressed at her job and once she’s done with work, she plays extreme sports to release the tension.
Dave is one of the local merchants. He is friendly and helpful to his customers and is well liked by most of the people in town.
Melcola is a seer and oracle who lives alone in a tower on a swamp. She has a large collection of magical devices and potions. Some say she has a collection of dangerous items what she hides away from those who would use them for evil. She likes her seclusion but many people visit her to learn about the future. Her answers are always mysterious but accurate if you know how to interpret them.
Hortes is the leader of a small rebel group who is convinced that something isn’t right in the kingdom. He is charismatic and charming, making it hard to disagree with whatever he says. He is a thorn in the side of those that are trying to manipulate the government to their ends.
Quilla is an avid book reader; she’s rarely seen without a book in her hands. She prefers instructional manuals but will read just about anything. She rarely talks to people and when she does she keeps her words brief and to the point. She can seem moody and disinterested in anything but books but will listen to any conversation that deals with facts or historic information. She might join in the conversation to ask a question or correct an error. It’s hard to get her to reveal what she knows, but a skilled conversationalist might be able to get her to open up.
Gnumanara the Gnome is a fun loving guy that is more illusionist then magician. He creates a lot of big, flashy spells that look impressive but don’t do much damage. He can seem scary if he wants but he’s really a push-over. He gets in big trouble when he tries to impress the wrong people.
Yanee is an agent for the Knights of Peace, a group who keeps the peace within the kingdom. She was send to Earth to collect the princess that was left there years before. The scar on her face was a result of fighting off those who would stop her mission. She is lucky to still be alive but her mission was a success.
Markus is a cleric of the five and has made it his life work to rid the world of dangerous creatures and monstrosities. He is part of an adventuring group that travels around the world and deals with troubles where ever they are found.
Ursala is the house keeper at the castle. She is a workaholic and needed extra arms to keep up with all her house work. She can be cranky whenever anyone causes her extra work, but she loves taking care of people and will clean up a mess at the same time she’s complaining about it. She is so accustomed to working in the castle that she is incapable of doing anything else. She never takes vacations or gets sick and would be completely helpless if she ever left the castle (except for the daily shopping trip for fresh produce).
Franco is a very driven man and always gets what he wants. A skilled warrior and politician, he can use words or weapons to advance his agenda. That being, expanding the kingdom into the wild-lands despite the treaty with the creatures that live there.
Telunga is a Solder in the King’s army who follows orders and does her best to keep the peace. She has her own code of honor which can sometimes conflict with the law of the land but she is respected enough to be given some leeway. She is one of the best sword fighters in the land and it is dangerous to cross her – which Loraine and Rianna do constantly.
Sophia is a young princess to the king of the land. She seems like a sweet, innocent girl, but she is a little demented. She will do random things that make no sense to most people. She can use body modification magic which can be used to heal people or cause horrible mutations. She usually only uses her magic when no one is looking so no one knows where the mutations are coming from. The changes don’t last long so no serious investigations have been undertaken
Deloris is a skilled warrior and guardian of the local area. She travels around righting wrongs and arbitrating conflicts. She often has run ins with Loraine and Rianna and tries to reform their mischievous ways. Try usually end up tricking her or making fun of her. Deloris always believes they can be reformed and never takes their ribbing to seriously.
Rianna is Loraine‘s Sister, and the more agile of the two. She’s a bit more demented then her sister and hangs out with Orcs and other unsavory characters. She is a whirlwind of death with two daggers in her hands, but she can fight with any weapon or none at all. She is quick and athletic, making her a hard target to hit. Although she may seem evil at times, she is a good person at heart and has a strong ethical code which she lives by.
Loraine is a princess without a kingdom. Both her and her sister (see day 2), lost their home and family on the same day and have been wandering the land looking for a home ever since.
Force to survive on the run, she has grown strong and is a powerful warrior. She prefers close combat and will fight with her fists when practical.
She can be a bit head strong and will pick fights when she shouldn’t. Fact is, there aren’t too many that can beat her in a fair fight and she’s made a lot of enemies. Mostly men that are embarrassed to be beaten by a girl.
