Success! Whoohoo!

This was fun…challenging, but fun.

#30 – Me

| November 30, 2011 | 0 Comments

Success! Wooo!

(not an accurate representation….I just can’t draw a good beard that doesn’t look like I’m a messy eater)

An upcoming character in my comic strip.

He’s really proud of that hat.

#17 – An Angry Man

| November 25, 2011 | 0 Comments

No one in particular…

#16 – The Boss

| November 25, 2011 | 0 Comments

This fellow is in no way whatsoever based on my boss at work in real life.

(The RL boss is taller)

#15 – A Business Man

| November 25, 2011 | 0 Comments

#14 – Goldfish

| November 19, 2011 | 0 Comments

Hurried this one, but at least its done. Based on a Teenagers From Outer Space character my brother played.

#13 – Bull Leader

| November 19, 2011 | 0 Comments

He’s a little stuck up…

#12 – Crossing Guard

| November 19, 2011 | 0 Comments

This cartoon marks the two firsts.

The first of a new coloring scheme (trying a new technique to speed things up)

And the first time I’ve done Highlights and Shading.  Still got some work todo there, but I’m happy with it in general!

#7 Little Ninja

#11 – Time Management

| November 19, 2011 | 0 Comments

A coworker was told he had ‘Bad Time Management’ skills (a ridiculous notion as he was the only system administrator and was swamped with work).  I drew this for him.

#10 – Hall Monitor

| November 19, 2011 | 0 Comments

#9 – Maniacal Elf

| November 19, 2011 | 0 Comments

#8 – Air Headed Girl

| November 19, 2011 | 0 Comments

Been uber busy, but I’m catching up, slowly but surely!

This one was inspired by a fellow cartoonist on WebComics Study Group.  🙂

#6 Bookworm

| November 9, 2011 | 0 Comments

The schools resident human encyclopedia.  I hope to introduce him to my comic strip sometime in the near future.

#5 Bully 1

| November 9, 2011 | 0 Comments

All elementary schools need a bully.  This is just one in several I have in mind.

(Yes I’m a little bit behind. That’s what no internet and heavy workloads does to you:) )

#4 A Devilish Backup Tape

| November 4, 2011 | 0 Comments

Yesterday I was stuck at work late, trying to figure out why our stupid tape backup system wasn’t working correctly. It was very annoying, mostly because it took away from my time for drawing my character of the day.  I scribbled this guy while I was waiting for a tape drive to respond.

I’m not proud of it…but here it is.

#3 Turtle Neck Guy

| November 4, 2011 | 0 Comments

Originally this started out as another geek, who got a turtle neck like his hero Steve Jobs.   I’m not sure if he’s really ‘geeky’ anymore, but Im still pleased with it.

#2 Geek #1

| November 2, 2011 | 0 Comments

My second character design, done in 30 minutes (my goal for each of these).  Also my first attempt to draw something in Sketchbook Pro.  Fun little program, going to experiment with it more.

Throughout this challenge I’m going to try and design some ‘extras’ for my comic strip, ‘The Principal is an Alien‘.

#1 Little Astronaut

| November 1, 2011 | 0 Comments

I gave myself a goal of spending no more then 30 minutes on my character designs, just so that I didn’t over think them.  Of course, I broke that on this fellow as I toyed around with the coloring a bit much.

I still like him though, he reminds me of me as a kid 🙂
