2011 Challenger: Calamity Jon Morris

| October 31, 2011 | 2 Comments

Howdy! My name is Jon Morris, I’m a Washington-based cartoonist who’s a first-timer in the 30 Characters Challenge. Many many moons ago I was the writer and artist on a webcomic called Jeremy:Just Turned Nine about the youngest son of Dr.Frankenstein, although I haven’t worked in comics in forever.

I’m using the 30 Characters challenge as a sketchbook for a story idea I’ve bouncing around my head for the last six months. Hopefully by having to build thirty characters around the premise, I’ll flesh out some of the half-formed ideas in my head and give myself a robust cast of characters around whom to build a comic.

My personal website is http://CalamityJonSave.Us where I only occasionally post, but recently I’ve spent most of my time managing to DC Fifty-Too project at http://dcfifty-too.blogspot.com/ and the CORNERED Blog at http://corneredblog.blogspot.com/. You can drop me a line at [email protected] – thanks, and good luck to everyone!

Hi Vito! Thanks – There’s unfortunately going to be a lull for a week while I’m in Tucson, but I’ll still get my thirty in by hook or by crook! Can’t wait to see what you’ll be doing, too!
