#16 – Dakuwaqa

| November 17, 2010 | 5 Comments

Dakuwaqa is a Shark-God from Fijian mythology. Protector of Kadavu Island. In the Mythoscape, Dakuwaqa spends his days lounging in paradise. Not a care in the world other than what’s in his playlist, what he’s reading and what he’s drinking. He has recreated his Island home here in the Mythoscape as a vacation destination for anyone who wants to visit, be they god, civillian or even the occasional temporarily-well-mannered Dark god. Kadavu Island is the closest thing to a neutral zone in the Mythoscape. Not that Dakuwaqa would do anything about it if a fight broke out. He probably wouldn’t even notice.

LOL That really made me laugh out loud! What a lovely change from the very dark Ares. I love the cup-holders on his chest. *giggles* And Harry potter is pretty good reading for the sharks. ;`)

  2. Cup holders and Harry Potter! ^^

Clever idea, it’s nice to see “cool” characters. The setting’s making me want to go visit some balmy beach resort, heh. I can’t help but wonder if Dakuwaqa surfs.

Thanks. I was pretty happy with how he came out. And of course he surfs!

  4. This guy looks so awesome, so relaxed, total surfer. Love it!

Just don’t Google for Dakuwaqa D: I don’t know anything about Fijian mythology so I wanted to see some of the original depictions. Some of the pictures that came up were very unrelated. Very unrelated.

I could see Dakuwaqa having a major role in Shattered Myth: The Romance Manga >:D
