Another person from the village of the forgetful elderitch god.  Kathy, based on a squid and The Girl With the Pearl Earring, who sneezes ink when her allergies kick up.

Her family supplies Ana’s grocery store with seafood.

Ana’s from a small island where the population originates from some eldritch big bad eons ago that supposed to rise back up and lead them in global genocide but when it didn’t show up for a couple generations the people there slowly started to forget.

Cut to the present where the people there are completely integrated into the world, living out perfect normal lives.  They’ve got a thriving tourist industry based around whale watches.  They mostly export fish and shell jewelry.

The Halley Research Station’s geologist, my god this man loves his job.  He loves the fact that he can study meteorites in near pristine conditions.

He’s the only one of the three that hasn’t had a run in with fae folk, Ronan would be the first when he finally approaches the team.

One of the Halley Research Station’s technicians who had run into Veyron when she was younger.  Probably the only one who ever tired the old puca out, her silver cane’s actually a gift from him when she first got the job at the base.

Ooh, waaay behind, brace yourself for a flood.  Anyway, next few are of part of the crew at the Halley research station that Ronan has been keeping an eye on.

Steve’d be the one the selkie’s most interested in, for reason? I’m not so sure, I believe I’ll find out if I ever get around to writing it.

Deviating from the car theme again and swinging back into fae territory.

Ron keeps around the various research stations in the Antartic and takes on what hunters there are in the area.  Has a bit of a fascination with one of the meteorologists at the Halley Research Station.

Colette’s based on the ’61 Corvette that my Dad had.  He crashed it before I was born and we kept it in our garage until he sold sometime in the late 90’s.  Friend of mine spilled sunflower seeds all over it when we were little and it attracted a lot of mice.

The feel of the fiberglass body reminded me of a bug.

Another Puca, this one based on the Bugatti Veyron.

He’s a touch more malicious than Emma.  Probably because his stint as the mount to a High King of Ireland years and years ago.  Veyron only goes back to Ireland if a situation is dire.

Deviating from cars for a quick second.

Forest god, find a pool of water in the woods with two dead trees on either side. Plunk a pair of stones into the water and out pops this guy.

I’ve been watching a lot of Supernatural lately and I kept thinking about the iconic Chevy Impala.  If the Impala was a person what would they be?

Sleek black car, bright yellow headlights? She’s a modern day púca.  Emma can be found all over the US, haunting highway pit stops and picking up  unsuspecting hitchhikers.  She’ll take them on a wild ride and drop them where they need to be, even if that means returning home.

Bit of mixing of an actual impala, the car, the Coyote, a puca and mother I saw at a pit stop once dressed in the same thing.

#2 Matt Paul Vaillancourt

Matt’s based off of my very first car, a powder blue Mazda MPV with busted shocks in the rear and a very responsive steering system.  It used to hold all of my portfolio work for school. I loved that van.

Matt was a very angry poltergeist that haunted Chevelle’s library that she called the two old hunters to take care of.  The library was just built over the bank Matt was burned alive in and the disturbance woke him up.  In his confusion he’d end up lighting things on fire trying to return his resting place to the way it was.

Chev was able to snap him out of it after finding his full name,  dousing him in fire extinguisher foam and chewing him out for nearly destroying the new library.

Matt now spends his unlife hanging around the library helping where he can and trying his best to keep his more destructive capabilities under control.  Chev always has a fire extinguisher handy just in case.

Some days the patrons swear they see a man in a baby blue vest dancing through the Non-Fiction section humming Petula Clark.

Based Chev off my car, an old Chevy that was originally made without the right sideview mirror and the left one took a hit by some jerk in a parking lot.  She’s knows a pair of old hunters that work across the south eastern side of the US.

She got her piercing sometime in the late 90’s.

2011 Challenger: Liza J

| November 1, 2011 | 0 Comments

My name is Liza J and I’m a serial character creator.

Representing the Center for Cartoon Studies Ghost Class of ’09, hailing from the Bridgewater Triangle  and bouncing between the aliases of ElZee3 and ZarathePirate.  I’ve met a lot of rad people in my life and I expect I’ll be meeting a lot more through this.

The first lot of characters I’ll make up will probably revolve around whatever objects I fancy at the moment and humanize them.  Should be fun!

Well, here goes nothing, best of luck!
