Day 13 The Amazing Daedalus Flyer

deadalus flyer fixed

Professor Sylvestus Daedalus spent considerable time studying the mechanics of flight as observed in birds. In his pursuit to fly, Daedalus attempted to recreate the motions of flight by manipulating  different wings and surfaces that provided resistance. As a result, he became conditioned as well as a superb athlete. Stumbling upon a series of sketches  of Da Vinci’s that had been forgotten to time, Daedalus was able to crack the code and created the variable wing mechanism- a series of slides and pins that allowed the wings to expand, gap, and contract back as part of the natural flight motion. Literally, the wings would change size and shape during the flight motions. Daedalus took his invention to London, and before a skeptical crowds of tens of people he flew above the highest rooftops and into the fog/smog of the city’s sky and was never seen again.

When Lilith leaves the Garden of Eden and Adam the angels Sansenoy, Senoy and Semangelof are sent to bring her back. She refuses to go back to Adam so a bargain is made for her freedom. Through the many centuries Lilith has slowly birthed an army of daughters and sons to take back the world she believes rightfully belongs to her. Their numbers rival the angels themselves. #20 – The Antlered Macaw

| November 24, 2011 | 0 Comments

Ah, the extremely rare antlered macaw…
First described by Sir Archibalderdash Higgs in 1836.
Often frequents Japanese bath-houses, which are hard to find in the Amazon. Its cry sounds like a microwave’s buzz, and it smells vaguely of sweat and figs. It lays two eggs per clutch, one of which is always blue. The blue one is inevitably devoured by predators, owing to its conspicuous color, so no one knows if the blue egg is fertile. No antlered macaws have ever been successfully raised in captivity.
Squaaawk!

The Grackle

Daughter of Squadron Leader, The Grackle inherited her father’s ability to fly, but not his patriotism and desire to help society.

Instead, The Grackle uses her flight power to steal. A skilled and compulsive thief, she has become one of the most successful burglars in the world. Attracted to shiny, expensive things, The Grackle’s heists rarely come to the attention of The Squadronnaires or the U.N.S.C.E.N.E.

Squadron Leader

Along with Dr. Omnibus, Squadron Leader was one of the first superly-abled to go into heroing. Gifted with the ability of flight, Squadron Leader was a patriot and fought in Vietnam alongside Capt. Bicentennial.

After serving in Vietnam, Squadron Leader and Dr. Omnibus co-founded The Squadronnaires. Squadron Leader co-led the team until his death in 1984, during the first Invisible War.
