#13 the M.A.B.D.S.T.T.F.

The M.A.B.D.S.T.T.F. was once a turkey of larger than average size towering over all other turkeys never to be slain for it was invariably connected to the Holiday Cheer of Thanksgiving… however as people started to overlook Thanksgiving more and more with stores staying open during thanksgiving and more families being forced to celebrate on different days due to work expectations of employers setting up Black Friday sales on… um… Thursday. (wait… what?) The mythical turkey began to shrink to the size of an average Squirrel…. and because misery loves company the M.A.B.D.S.T.T.F. took to stealing the Squirrels food…. because why should they worry about Christmas BEFORE THANKSGIVING… oh… they store that food for survival? You mean they aren’t hiding those nuts as early Christmas gifts for other squirrels? Oh… well I guess the M.A.B.D.S.T.T.F. is kind of a Jerk then.

Needed to stay light tonight and wanted to go cartoony a bit 🙂    Anyway….catcher of the most elusive of mice, defender of the kitchen, warmer of computer desks, ……and annoying when you are trying to type and use the mouse. LOL

#12 The Tar-tle

| November 19, 2012 | 0 Comments

This beast of Tar was once a normal tortoise at least it was until it was challenged to a race by a rabbit…. the foolish rabbit was so far ahead that it decided to take a nap as the slow tortoise was so much slower and so far behind… the tortoise however never stopped and as the rabbit slept…. it took the lead and actually won the foot race…. unfortunately this Rabbit was actually a vindictive god in disguise… he had no humor for losing to a tortoise and transformed it into an immortal beast made of tar… unable to ever beat another animal in another foot race ever again.

Actually based on this image…

Every year I get a new interpretation on Pilgrims from my younger students… last year it was the evil rich pilgrim… This year? Blue and Purple Pilgrims… I imagine that the Purple Pilgrim being involved in the annual grape stomp making wine for their church… was involved in a horrible accident where he fell into the mash, was stomped, and inevitably, unfortunately, he… “dyed”.

He rose again filled with a terrible rage… a pre-libation RAGE!

White Overtone Wizard says, “I empower in order to enchant, commanding receptivity. I seal the output of timelessness with the overtone tone of radiance. I am guided by the power of spirit.”

Doubly frightening to children at supper time everywhere… this horrible beast plays on two childhood fears… Vampires and having to eat all of your Broccoli.

#18 – The River Rats

| November 19, 2012 | 0 Comments

These are The River Rats, particularly the notable members of this crew of pirates; from the top going clockwise, Ofeen, a half-elf cleric, her brother Kelson, a half-elf rogue, Shield, a dwarf fighter, and Sabre, an elf fighter.

When their ship was commandeered, they ended up slumming around the port of Mission. There they had a chance encounter with the party, who had just gained ownership of a brand new schooner without enough hands to man it. The party expressed interest in hiring them, as they appeared to be the only folks at the port who looked like weathered sailors; most of the folk at port were fisherman or coastal merchants. Hoping to hijack the boat, their de facto leader Kelson offered a seemingly harmless challenge; a friendly sparring match to see if the party was worth working for.

The match escalated to a straight-up brawl in which the party claimed victory. With their original ship commandeered and their  egos bruised they were ready to call it a day, but the party offered a second chance. To crew their ship, join on their adventures. They were given a shot at redemption.

They took it.
