I am a graduate student in forensic anthropology at Michigan State University, and illustration has always been something I enjoy. This is year #2 for me with the 30 Characters Challenge and I'm pretty darn excited about it!

  1. I love this, man I really love this piece. BRAVO! I can’t wait to see what else you have cooked up.

Once again, awesome work!Love the hacked off wings and the fairy figure on the ground…sheesh – the stance, the subtle linework – My favorite by you to date.

  3. Gregory says:

She, the fallen faerie, looks completely defeated, as though her wings were her will. Excellent work.

  4. atombat says:

That fairy looks totally defeated and humiliated by the Fairy Hunter. Almost like the Fairy Hunter has (to use videogame terminology) PWNED her and is now corpse humping the poor defeated thing. Badass Fairy Hunter.

  5. Tim Mrozek says:

Wow, seriously dramatic piece. Nice work. I like Gregory’s comment. That’s exactly the case, her will has just been completely taken from her thus leaving the Hunter able to not bind her or anything.

  6. Jared says:

Some really nice work, this. Can’t wait to see your next!

  7. Jane Wankmiller says:

Wow, thanks everyone! Your feedback is really motivating (and one heck of an ego boost)!

Gregory, atombat, and Tim: I never know if I’ve succeeded in portraying what I set out to portray, but your comments reflect exactly what I was hoping people would get out of this sketch. Thanks!
